To achieve this, we have established our Health, Safety, and Community Conduct Protocol, which will be applied at the Ashburton Community Centre, where our Spanish School is located
1. Parents & guardians must be present at the community centre.
Parents of Beginners, Intermediate & Advanced students must wait for their children in the common area of the Ashburton Community Centre for the duration of the lesson and, if necessary, take them to the bathroom.
2. Classroom Access.
Teachers and assistants are not able to supervise children during the setup of the classroom prior to the lesson. For our students safety, we ask that you drop off your child or children at the door of room 3 no earlier than
• Intermediate: Saturday at 1:00 pm
• Advanced: Saturday at 2:00 pm
• Beginners: Saturday at 3:30 pm
• Pro Advanced: Friday at 5pm
3. Parents or Guardians in the classroom need a WWCC.
If a parent needs to be with their child or children in the classroom, they must send a copy of their WWCC (Working with Children Check) to spanishteacher.au@gmail.com, before the start of each term.
4. Parent or Guardian supervision.
Parents must supervise their children at all times to avoid disrupting classes or other activities taking place in the community centre.
5. Action Plan for Anaphylaxis and Asthma.
Parents or Guardians of children with allergies, anaphylaxis, and asthma must provide an individual plan for each child to ensure management and prevention at Maria Spanish School.
6. No food and drinks in the classroom.
No eating or drinking is allowed in the classroom, except for water. Students must bring their water bottles with their names.
7. Sickness Policy.
