Payments, Cancellations & Refunds

1. Payment & Booking

  • Course fees are due in full at the time of registration.

  • Assessment interview bookings are confirmed only upon receipt of payment.

  • Trial group lesson bookings are confirmed only upon receipt of payment.

2. Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations or rescheduling made within 48 hours of a class will incur a fee.

  • If you need to cancel an entire lesson package before the start date, a two-lesson charge will apply.

  • If you need to cancel a group lesson package mid-term, a two-week (10 business days) notice is required to apply for a refund. In this case, 70% of the remaining classes after the notice period will be refunded.

  • If you need to cancel a private or individual lesson package once it has begun, a two-week (10 business days)notice is also required. In this case, 70% of the remaining classes after the notice period will be refunded.

3. Cancellation by the School

  • Classes cancelled by Maria Spanish School will be rescheduled or refunded in full within 14 business days.

4. Unused Lessons

  • Unused lesson credits expire 6 months from the purchase date.

5. Digital Materials

  • Online or digital learning materials are non-refundable once accessed.

6. Requesting a Refund

  • To request a refund, please email hola@mariaspanishschool.com.au with your booking details.

  • Refunds are processed via the original payment method within up to 14 business days.


Safety, Health & Community Guidelines Protocol 2025

At Maria Spanish School, we are committed to protecting the wellbeing and integrity of our students, families, teachers, and staff.
These guidelines apply at both of our locations: Ashburton Community Centre and Bowen Street Community Centre Camberwell.

1. Parent & Guardian Presence

Parents and guardians must remain at the community centre during lessons.
Parents of Beginners, Intermediate, and Advanced students are required to wait in the common area for the duration of the class and accompany their child to the bathroom if needed.

2. Classroom Access

Teachers and assistants are unable to supervise children during classroom setup.
For safety reasons, please drop off your child no earlier than the scheduled start time of the class.

3. Parents or Guardians in the Classroom

If a parent or guardian needs to be present in the classroom, a copy of their Working with Children Check (WWCC)must be emailed to hola@mariaspanishschool.com.au before the start of each term.

4. Parent or Guardian Supervision

Parents and guardians must supervise their children at all times to prevent disruptions to classes or other activities at the community centre.

5. Anaphylaxis & Asthma Action Plans

Parents or guardians of children with allergies, anaphylaxis, or asthma must provide an individual management plan for each child to ensure proper care and prevention during lessons.

6. Food & Drinks

No food or drink (except water) is permitted in the classroom.
Students should bring a labelled water bottle to class.

7. Sickness Policy

If your child is unwell — showing symptoms such as fever, coughing, or sneezing — please keep them at home.

8. Accident & Incident Reporting

In case of an accident or incident at Maria Spanish School, please complete our Incident Report Form provided by our staff.
